Jennifer Wadhwa is an attorney with Rathod Mohamedbhai LLC. Her practice includes civil rights litigation and plaintiff’s employment discrimination. Jennifer currently serves on the Colorado Bar Association’s Civil Rights Committee, the Colorado Women’s Bar Association’s Public Policy Committee, and the executive committee for the Minoru Yasui Inn of Court. Through her pro bono practice, Jennifer has helped immigrant victims of human trafficking and domestic violence obtain authorization to work in the United States through the U visa program.
Following law school, Jennifer worked as a hearing officer for the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment. In that role, she adjudicated hundreds of unemployment insurance appeals. Thereafter, she entered private practice with a local firm where she represented plaintiffs in employment discrimination matters.
Jennifer graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2012, where she earned her J.D. and a workplace law certificate. During law school she was a student attorney in the University of Denver’s Civil Litigation Clinic. In addition to representing plaintiffs in employment discrimination matters, she also successfully represented numerous victims of domestic violence seeking civil protection orders. As an intern for Colorado Legal Services, Jennifer helped nine victims of trafficking and forced labor with their claim for restitution in a federal criminal case brought against their employer. Jennifer served on the Honor Board and was a staff editor for the Criminal Law Review from January 2011 to March 2012.
Before law school, Jennifer gained nearly a decade of experience in employment law working as a human resources manager for various start-up tech companies and an immigration law firm in the San Francisco Bay Area.
